Use Constraints as Fuel, Not Brakes
Use constraints to improve AI-generated divergent ideas rather than suppress creativity.
Principle: Give AI the real box, then ask it to bend the box. Why constraints help Divergence is not random wandering. It is exploration inside a meaningful problem space. If the model does not know the limits, it will spend tokens on ideas the team cannot use. If the limits are concrete, the model can search for substitutions, combinations, eliminations, and reversals that matter. The constraint recipe Name what is fixed, what is flexible, and what success requires. Then ask for SCAMPER moves inside those boundaries. This keeps the brainstorm both imaginative and operational.
