Recognizing Bias in Your Own Analysis

Identify and mitigate personal biases that shape how you interpret organizational change data.

Every analyst brings perspectives, assumptions, and biases to their work. If you've worked in the company you're studying, you may unconsciously favor interpretations that align with your former team's view. If you've read articles criticizing the organization, you may unconsciously seek evidence confirming those criticisms. If certain team members have strong opinions, groupthink may push the analysis in a particular direction. Recognizing bias doesn't mean eliminating it (impossible) but managing it.
