Develop strategies to manage the inherent risks and uncertainties in breakthrough product development.

Breakthrough innovations are inherently risky because they venture into unknown territory. The market is unproven, the technology might not work at scale, and competitors may respond faster. Rather than trying to eliminate risk (impossible), successful innovators manage it deliberately.
