Designing Visuals That Reinforce, Not Distract

Create visuals that support your message by following design principles of clarity and simplicity.

Slides and visuals should amplify your message, not compete with it. Many presenters fill slides with bullet points, cluttering visuals, and excessive animations, which overwhelms the audience and dilutes impact. Effective visuals follow the principle of minimal text with large, readable fonts, one main idea per slide, and visuals (charts, images, diagrams) that clarify rather than decorate. Color should be used purposefully—limited palettes are more professional than rainbow designs.
