Building a Customer-Centric Product Vision

Define and communicate a clear product vision that aligns the team and guides long-term prioritization decisions.

A product vision is a clear, inspiring statement of where the product is heading and why it matters. Unlike a mission statement, which might be broad ('Help businesses automate workflows'), a vision is more specific and time-bound ('By 2025, we'll be the fastest, most intuitive workflow automation platform for small teams'). A strong vision helps Product Owners make consistent trade-off decisions—if a feature doesn't align with the vision, it's easier to defer.
